Betty Hicks of Leesburg, Florida, beloved wife, mother, passed away on April 16, 2024, at the age of 80. She was born on July 29, 1943, in Philadelphia, PA, to Edward Sherwin Hubbard and Louisa Ruth (Levering)Hubbard. She is survived by her 5 children, Fred Macleod (spouse Sherry), David Hicks (spouse Kristina), Kimberly Stevens (spouse Chris), Joe Hicks (spouse Audrey), and Kristina Summers (spouse Michael), 12 grandchildren, Connor, Hannah, Kaitlin, Kiley, Shauna, Jesse, Dalton, Bradley, Terrina, Jayson, Dalton, Nicholas, 2 great-grandchildren, Asta and Riley, siblings, David Hubbard, Henry Hubbard, and Nancy Schmidt.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy A. Hicks, Father, Edward Hubbard, Mother, Louisa Hubbard, and brother, Edward (JR) Hubbard.
Betty attended Delsea Regional High School and graduated in 1961 before continuing her studies at Sumter Community College. She was an active member of the community and served as the President of the NAITC Lakehurst wives club in the 1970s and was a proud Navy Wife.
Betty had a passion for hobbies such as knitting, crocheting, quilting, genealogy, and ancestry. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and her warm and caring nature touched everyone she met.
On April 16, 2024, Betty lost her battle with cancer, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
