MOSIER, BETTY JEAN, 85 Betty Jean Mosier, 85, longtime resident of Gainesville, Florida, died Friday, December 9, 2016, in the Haven Hospice Care Center, Chiefland, surrounded by her loved ones. Mrs. Mosier was born on October 2, 1931 in Lawrence County, Illinois, to the late Percy Glen and Freda Lois Musgrove. Betty came to Gainesville in 1963, and worked for over 20 years as a waitress at Mack's Waffle Shop. She was a longtime member of Northwest Baptist Church. Mrs. Mosier enjoyed bowling, playing Bingo, and especially pinochle. She was preceded in death by a son, Peter Allen Gunter in 1969, by a daughter, Judy Seward in 1989, and by her husband, Milton Mosier, Jr., in 1996. Survivors include; two daughters, Marty Swilley (Charles Ryan), of Lake City; Tracy (Roger) Lozano, of Archer; three sons, Tony Goodman, of Gainesville, Charles (Sue Ellen) Goodman, of Williston, and Lonnie Goodman, of St. Petersburg; grandchildren, Kelsey Goodman, Stacy (Mike) Perez, Becky (Tom) Goodman, Gladys (Archie) Knott, Robert (Pam) Seward, William (Maggie) Seward, and Russell Seward, along with several other grandchildren; great grandchildren, Christian Perez and Tony Wells, along with several other great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 11:00 A.M., in the Chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 North Main Street, with Rev. Chris McDonald, officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Central. The family will receive friends, on Monday, December 12, 2016, from 5 to 7 P.M., at the funeral home.
