A Bardstown resident, Mrs. Betty Jean Burchett Price, 73, passed away Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was born on Jan. 25, 1940, in Hindman, Ky., retired after many years as a Librarian for Washington County School system and was a member of Kentucky Teacher Retirement System.She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother. She is survived by her husband of 50 years Joseph T. Price; her daughter, Gwynn (Bosco) Gant, of Cox's Creek; her son, Joe Price, of Springfield; and two grandsons, Lucas and Jared Gant, both of Cox's Creek.The family has respected her wishes and was cremation was chosen and there will not be any public visitation or service.
