Betty Jean WilliamsGraveside services for Mrs. Betty Jean Williams, 79, of DeRidder will be held Thursday, April 27, 2017, at 1 pm at Evergreen Cemetery Church in Goldonna, LA. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder, Louisiana.Visitation will be Wednesday, April 26 2017, from 5 pm until 9 pm at the funeral home, also at 12 pm until 1 pm on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Evergreen Cemetery Church in Goldonna, LA.Betty Jean the daughter of Jesse and Marie Moak Cloud was born on September 17, 1937 in Goldonna, Louisiana. She passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017, in DeRidder, LA.Betty Jean was the oldest of 3 children. She graduated from Goldonna High School in 1955. She received her degree in General Studies from Northwestern State University in 1983 and her Masters degree in Education. She taught in Pickering, Rosepine, Leesville and Northwestern State University. Along with her career in teaching she was a homemaker.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband John Carson Williams and sister, Mercille Cloud Perritt.She is survived by her son Larry Lynn Williams (Michelle) of DeRidder, LA; daughters, Christine Franks (Bruce) of Merryville, LA and Sandra Pruitt (John) of DeRidder, LA; brother Gary William Cloud (Janice) of Shreveport, LA; 8 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.Words of comfort may be expressed to the Williams Family at www.labbymemorial.com (337) 463-7428
