Van Ess, Betty L.Betty L. Van Ess, age 87, of Two Rivers, died on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at River's Bend Health and Rehabilitation, Manitowoc.Betty was born on July 22, 1928 in the Township of Gibson to the late Henry and Gertrude (Dettinger) Riemer. She graduated Mishicot High School in 1945. Betty was employed at the Mirro Company for 45 years until retiring in 1992. On April 29, 1950 she married the late Granville "Grant" Van Ess and they moved to Two Rivers in 1954.Betty is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Jeff and Linda Van Ess, Manitowoc; two grandchildren: Granville J. And Katrina (Klusmeyer) Van Ess, Manitowoc, Amber L. Van Ess and fiancé Scott Finnell, Two Rivers; three great grandchildren: Selena M. Van Ess, Alaynna A. Van Ess, both of Two Rivers, and Jaeden G. Van Ess, Manitowoc; one sister: Shirley Mattie, Green Bay; and one brother-in-law: Henry Van Ess, Two Rivers. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.She was preceded in death by her husband: Granville Van Ess on December 7, 1973; her parents: Henry and Gertrude (Aug. 1971, June 1994) Reimer; one brother and sister-in-law: Clarence and Marta (Nov. 2003, June 1993) Reimer; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Jean and Donald "Mac" (Dec. 1995, June 1985) MacDonald, Mary Ann and Chester (Jan. 2006, Jan. 2009) Schultz.Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, November 23, 2015 at Our Savior Ev. Lutheran Church (34th Street and Tannery Road), Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Luke Tembreull with burial to follow at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, town of Kossuth.The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday, November 23, 2015 at Our Savior Ev.
