ANGOLA — Betty Lou Matlock, 57, of Angola, passed away at her residence, Tuesday, April 15, 2014. She was born on March 6, 1957, in Chicago, the daughter of Jacob Lewis Crubaugh and Mary Kathleen (Olcott) Crubaugh Lytle, and they preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Wilbur Lytle. Betty was a graduate of Angola High School. She formerly worked in Chicago. As a resident of Lakeland Apartments in Angola, she enjoyed going to prayer meetings at the apartment complex library, she loved doing crafts and enjoyed playing games on her home computer. Betty was helped and given care for the last several years by her caretaker, Emma. Survivors include, six siblings, Donald Crubaugh of Angola, Robert Crubaugh of Ashatabula, Ohio, Edward Crubaugh of Norwalk, Ohio, Rosemarie Crubaugh of Coldwater, Mich., Kathy Shown of Angola, and Judy Brumbaugh of Edgerton, Ohio, and many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Schort. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, at Jamestown Cemetery, Fremont, with Pastor Jonathan Neipp of Christ Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, officiating.
