NEW FREEDOM Betty M. (Harp) Moehrke, 88, formerly of Kenosha Wisc., died peacefully on Thursday April 9, 2015 at the York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Irving E. Moehrke. She was born on May 3, 1926 in Antigo, Wisc., daughter of the late Herman and Ethel (Keen) Harp. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Loganville since 1979. She was also a member of the American Legion in Parkton, Md. Betty and Irv managed the New Freedom Theatre and Al's Printing from 1979-1984. The memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 24, 2015 at Christ Lutheran Church, 80 S. Main St., Loganville, with the Rev. Douglas DeStephano, her pastor, officiating. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to the John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., York. Betty is survived by her daughter, Beverly Bagnall, wife of Allan, of New Freedom; brother, Daniel Harp; three grandsons; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kimberly Bagnall; and four brothers, Jack, Don, Jerry and Charles.
