Brown, Betty McGrath Age 95, died peacefully on May 3, 2017, at Newcastle Estates in Mequon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert S. Brown, sister Mary Linnenberg and her beloved grandaughter Erin Lynn Brown. Betty is survived by her sons Jeffrey (Mary) of Winston-Salem, NC and Rob (Jan) of Mequon, brother Robert McGrath of Cincinnati, sister Carol Voss of Oceanside, CA, grandchildren Emily Brown, Matthew (Ashley) Brown, Andrew Brown and Stewart Brown as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends. Betty was born on May 8, 1921, in Cincinnati, OH, to the late William and Elsa McGrath. She graduated from Lasell Junior College in Boston. Betty and Bob were married on October 4, 1947 in Cincinnati and moved to Milwaukee in 1965 when Bob joined First Savings of Wisconsin, an organization he would later lead. A devoted mother, Betty was active in many charitable causes over the years. A Service will be held on Friday, May 12, at 1:00PM at ST. CHRISTOPHER'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH, 7845 N. River Rd., River Hills. Visitation will precede the Service from Noon to 1:00PM at the church. Interment will be at Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Betty's name may be made to Amazing Grace Equine Sanctuary for Erin's Acre, W4985 County Road FF, Elkhart Lake, WI 53020 or through their website www.rescuehorses.org.
