Beulah I. Garrison HawkinsBeulah I. Garrison Hawkins, 94, of Springfield, died on January 9, 2017 after a long illness. She was born on October 5, 1922 in Green Forest, Arkansas, the daughter of Golman and Pearl Norris. Beulah was a life-long resident of Ozark and Springfield, Missouri after moving to Ozark with her family in 1929. Beulah and Ralph Garrison were married from March 10, 1941 until Ralph passed away on December 28 1976. They had two sons, Phillip and Michael. Beulah and Dwight Hawkins were married from December 1985 until his death in 1998.Beulah was a member of the Sunset Church of Christ in Springfield with God and family being priorities throughout her life. She was a devoted wife and mother who worked at Riverside Inn in Ozark before joining the Ozark Mill and Elevator Co. as its bookkeeper in 1963 where she remained until her retirement.Survivors include: a son, Phillip R. Garrison and his wife Pat of Springfield; a son Michael H. Garrison and his wife Gilly of Cambridge, England; two grandchildren, Tim Garrison and his wife Coleen of Orlando, Florida and Brock Garrison of Jackson, Missouri; five great-grandchildren; three step-daughters, Barbara Hawkins of Springfield, Judie Farmer of Monroe, Georgia and Pat Michel of Nixa; five step-grandchildren; six step great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her first and second husbands, Ralph Garrison and Dwight Hawkins; her parents; two sisters, Vera Norris and Anna Halleen Thomson; a brother, Causby Norris; and a grandson, Cameron Garrison.The family would like to express their appreciation for the kind care given Beulah at the Manor at Elfindale over the last 4 ½ years and especially the loving attention given over the last few days of her life.A visitation will be from noon until 1:00 PM Saturday, January 14, at Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Services will follow at 1:00 PM. A private interment service will be held at the Ozark Cemetery.
