Beulah Lee Williams Obituary
Apr 13, 2019 - Jul 23, 2019
In loving memory
Beulah Lee Williams, beloved daughter of the late Lucile Simmons Smith and John Henry Smith, was born in Morgan, Georgia on April 15, 1931.
She received her formal education in the public schools of Calhoun County, including H. T. Singleton High School.
During the early years of her life, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and united with the Union Baptist Church of Morgan, Georgia. In later years, became a member of St. Maryland Baptist Church in Leary, Georgia where she was a faithful member who diligently served the Lord with gladness.
While yet a young woman, Beulah met and married Carl Williams. Their union was blessed with a large family that was taught to love the Lord, to be humble and respectful, and to stick together through the trials and triumphs of life. Domestic at heart, she was a devoted wife and mother who ate not the bread of idleness; rather, she worked tirelessly to care for the needs and well-being of her family.
Bea, as she was affectionately called, lived a life of kindness and compassion tempered with a loving spirit. The joys of her life were her family and friends whom she loved dearly and delighted in spending time with them. She was a selfless person who saw the beauty in all things, accepted everyone for who they were, and openly welcomed them into her heart and home. You couldn’t know her without being inspired by her love and devotion to her family, friends, church, and community. Although Bea resided in Hartford, CT and Savannah, GA for a period of time; Leary was always “HOME” and the residents were all very dear to her heart. She will long be remembered for her smile, strength, and loving spirit.
On July 16, 2019, God dispatched an angel of glory and Beulah made a peaceful transition at Signature Healthcare of Savannah, GA with family at her side. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sons, Carl Williams II and Ernest Williams; two siblings, Willie Lee Smith and Charlotte A. Oliver; an two great grandchildren.
Precious memories will forever remain in the hearts of loving children, Renee (Tyrone) Himes of Leary, GA, Michael (Pat) Williams of Albany, GA, Wylene Richardson of Augusta, GA, Willet (Stephanie) Williams, Willieassie Figgins, and James Williams all of Savannah, GA, and Hutis (Darwin) Williams of Atlanta, GA; nephew, Alvin Oliver of Leary, GA; daughters-in-law, Jeanette Williams and Joyce Williams; adopted daughters, Lela and Evelyn of Savannah, GA; devoted friends, Ms. Sutton of Savannah, GA and Ms. Mary Oliver of Leary, GA; loving cousins, Albert, Clarence, Vivian, and Gwen Sanders all of Albany, GA, Jean Sanders of New Jersey, Betsy, Molly, Sonny, and Sally Brown of Melborne, FL, Ruby and Ed Brown of Leary, GA, and Willie Pearl of Ft.
