Beulah Mae Bowden Albertson, age 92, a long-time resident of Elm City, NC passed away at her residence on September 10, 2018.
Beulah Mae Bowden Albertson was born on May 18, 1926, in Wilson NC to the late Abbe Battle.
Beulah attended Frederick Douglas High School. She furthered her education in the nursing program online with Wayne County program. She worked at Bruce Food as a Food processor for 30 years. Beulah made sure during those 30 years that she transported all her riders to work on time daily. She was a dedicated and hard worker. Beulah was a devoted and loving mother. She was very proud of her family, one that always showed genuine love. She loved PEOPLE, had a passion for directing and encouraging all young people in the right direction. Beulah was a great inspiration to all, she loved fishing, bike riding, watching Wrestling & Young & Restless, and going to Wilson with her granddaughter Shelia. Beulah was also a former member of Wynn Chapel. Beulah was known for her feisty, yet a good sense of humor. Her famous saying ‘I LOVE YOU LIKE GOD WANTS ME TO LOVE YOU”!
She leaves to cherish one daughter JoAnn Mercer that reside in the home that was a dedicated caregiver from sun up to sun down. Always put her mother before her own needs. She wanted the best for her mother she made her last days here on earth to be very comfortable and peaceful. She leaves to cherish two son Douglas Poole of Elm City James Bowden(Deceased). She has 8 Grandchildren, Shelia, Dwayne, Daren, James, Jermel, Jermaine, Roderick, and Danielle. 10 Great-Grandchildren, 10 Great- Great Grandchildren. One brother June and one sister Louise (deceased), Three Special Friends John Rowley Special Companion, Sherita McCall, Velma Hint special nurse/friend.
