Beverly Ann Josund PierceA memorial service celebrating the life of Beverly Ann Josund Pierce will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 7, 2017, at St. Paul Episcopal Church. Officiating will be The Reverend Paul D. Martin. The family will receive friends after the service in the church parlor.A native of Fargo, North Dakota, Beverly was born on February 1, 1931, to parents, Selma and Marshall G. Josund and died Monday, April 3, 2017, at Willis-Knighton Pierremont Hospital from congestive heart failure. She attended elementary school and graduated from Bismarck High School in 1949 and attended Concordia College, Morehead, Minn and graduated with a BS in education at Valley City State Teachers College (University). She was an active member of St. Paul Episcopal Church, a member and past president of the Altar Guild, Daughters of the King, St. Margaret's Guild, WOSP, Fa. Paul's Wednesday morning Bible Class and volunteered in the Gift Shop and Church office. She was a member of Alpha Phi Fraternity and received the Michaelanean Award, highest award given to an alumnae. She taught school at St. Joseph Catholic School, St. John Berchmans Catholic School, Agnew Town and Country Day School, and in Webster Parish. She was a Principal of St. Paul's Day School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Pierce; her parents, Selma and Marshall Josund; Godchild, Jenny Rogers; and cousins, Audrey and Vern McDermott, of Billings, MT. She is survived by her son, John M. Pierce and wife, Lynette, of Dallas, TX; daughter, Lisa Beth Pierce, of Tyler, TX; precious grandchildren, Blake Aaron Pierce, Kelsey Elizabeth Ingram and Grant Pierce Ingram; niece, Peggy Wyatt and husband, Ron, of Rockwall, TX; and Godchildren, Janet Evans and Richard Wyatt. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church Altar Guild, 275 Southfield Rd., Shreveport 71105 or charity of donor's choice.
