Beverly J. "Cookie" Grow, 71, of Springville, passed at VNA Hospice in Scranton, on March 17, 2015, after her courageous battle with cancer. Her husband, Edwin D. Grow, predeceased her in 2002.She was born on February 3, 1944 in Wilmington, Del., to the late Walter L. and Margaret H. (Litchendorf) Way. Surviving is her daughter and son-in-law, Shelley and Thomas Krishak, Springville; three granddaughters, Allison, Kayla and Kristi Krishak; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Robin Way, Factoryville, Richard and Beverly Way, South Montrose, K. Bradley Way, Montrose; sister-in-law, Betty Jean Way, Telford; sisters-in-laws and their spouses, Alayne and John Horn, Springville, Marlene and Edward Pompey, Springville; special aunts; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by her sister, Betty A. Way; and her brother, Walter "Bud" Way. Cookie was a member of the Springville Methodist Church, the Springville Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, and the Springville Women's Club. She enjoyed traveling with her family and on her last family trip she went zip lining and prior to that she had gone para sailing. In her late 60s, she taught her great nieces how to cartwheel. Her granddaughters were a huge part of her life and she was involved in absolutely everything that they had going on. Her granddaughters referred to her as "Pa's Ma" and so did all of their friends. Cookie had that personality that everyone took to and everyone loved. Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home, Montrose, with the Pastor Cecily A. Eisley, of the Springville United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be at the Lynn Cemetery, Springville. Visitation was held Friday evening at the funeral home.Memorial contributions can be made in her name to the Springville United Methodist Church or the Springville Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
