OERTEL BEVERLY J. Beverly Jane Oertel, age 85, of Penn Hills, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Hts. She was born on May 13, 1931, to the late Robert and Helen Walker. Beverly worked at Union National Bank in Pittsburgh for 25 years. She enjoyed collecting dolls and teddy bears, singing in her church choir at Penn Hills Free Methodist Church, watching Pittsburgh sports teams, and baking delicious desserts. She was devoted to her family, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Beverly will be remembered as a very kindhearted and thoughtful woman, always wanting to provide everything she could to all of her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wilbert J. Oertel, whom she was married to for 63 years. She was also preceded in death by her brother, James E. Walker; and her son, David L. Oertel. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons, Wilbert (Roxanne) Oertel, Jr. of North Huntingdon and Steve (Donna) Oertel of Natrona Hts; and grandchildren, Justin, Amanda, Michael, and Stephanie. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2016, in the FINDLAY C. WYLIE FUNERAL HOME, located at 11311 Frankstown Rd., Penn Hills 15235. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Findlay C. Wylie Funeral Home, with Reverend Frank Deluce of Unity United Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery in Penn Hills.
