Beverly Joyce (Cavanaugh) Coffman was born on March 17, 1934 in Audubon. She died on Sept. 1, 2016 at the age of 82 at the Kavanagh House. Bev was united in marriage to Berle Coffman on Nov. 24, 1950. To this marriage four daughters were born, Kimberly, Lana, Tammy, and Jill. Mom taught her girls how to cook and bake, and they always had plenty of opportunities to cook meals for Dad since Mom worked evenings -- cooking at the T-Bone Club in Audubon. We especially remember her homemade cookies, cinnamon rolls, freshly baked bread, and fried dough. The family is thankful for the wonderful Christian home provided for them where they knew they were loved. Mom helped the family to appreciate the love of family -- instilling in them the desire to show loving concern toward others. She was loved by so many.Bev enjoyed spending time with her family, knitting, reading, playing cards, cooking, BINGO, her Bible Study group, and the Hopefully Retiree Group. Bev was born and raised in Audubon and later moved to Colorado. The family moved back to Iowa where she resided in Grimes until her death.
