ALBION — Beverly I. (Alwine) Snyder, 87, of Elkhart died Friday, Jan. 30, 2015, at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, Florida. Mrs. Snyder volunteered as a member of the Elkhart General Hospital Auxiliary in the Breast Center for many years as a 'Pink Lady.' She was born on April 27, 1927, to the late Richard and Thelma (Stringfellow) Alwine. She married James E. Snyder on June 29, 1946. He survives. Also surviving are her brother, Les (Ruth) Alwine of Albion; her children, Linda (Dan) Hebel of Elkhart, Randy (Ruth Ann) Snyder of Goshen, and Sandy Snyder of Lake Placid, Florida.; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Guy Alwine, and a sister, Lois Christner. A celebration of life gathering will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at Brazzell Funeral Home, Albion Chapel, 771 Trail Ridge Road, Albion. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Albion following the celebration service. Lunch will be served at the Asbury United Methodist Church, 605 E. Main St., Albion. Cremation has taken place.
