BILL DARDIO
WAPAKONETA — Bill H. Dardio, 60, of Wapakoneta passed away at 3:12 a.m. Monday October 31, 2016 at St. Rita's Inpatient Hospice, Lima.
He was born on December 3, 1955 in Lima, OH to Bill & Nancy (Boyer) Dardio. His father preceded him in death on February 3, 1978 and his mother survives in Wapakoneta.
Survivors also include a brother; Mark Dardio of Portland, OR, four sisters Terri (Mike) Ritchie, Pam Dardio, Julie (Bill) Cockerell all of Wapakoneta, Lori Johnson of Mason, OH, nieces and nephews Melissa Papich, Bobby Kilgour, Joshua Cockerell, Emily Ritchie, Jared Cockerell, Andrew Johnson, Noah Ritchie, Jacob Cockerell, Adam Johnson; great nieces Mallory Stevick, Macie Mort and Mila Mort.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother Thomas Dardio and a brother Matt Dardio.
Bill was a 1974 graduate of Wapakoneta Senior High School. He received a bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership Supply Chain Management from Wright State University and a master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Findlay. He worked for the family business of Dardio Milk Hauling Inc. for many years. He also drove semi truck for other trucking companies. In addition, he enjoyed caring for many family pets. He was interested in plants, especially cacti. This past year he made a trip to Arizona to see the cacti in the desert. Bill was an avid member of the Wapakoneta YMCA and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #691.
There will be a private family service with Rev. Patrick Slonecker officiating at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery with military rites being performed by the V.F.W. Post 8445. There will be no public visitation.
