Bill Leroy Solomon, Jr.Bill Leroy Solomon, Jr., 58, of Lafayette, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2017.He was born on January 31, 1959 in Lafayette to the late Bill L.Solomon, Sr. and Marcella (Phillips) Solomon Gushwa.On February 20, 1982, he married Tammy Shonkwiler in Lafayette and she survives.Bill worked as a painter for Roger Criswell and owned his own painting business. He enjoyed antiques, watching NASCAR, and he loved his grandchildren.Surviving are his wife, Tammy Solomon of Lafayette; his children, Rodney (Leah) Solomon of South Carolina, Bill (Heather) Solomon III of Lafayette, Eric Solomon, of Lafayette, Misty Shonkwiler of Lafayette, Brad (Lisa Denham) Solomon of Lafayette, and Brandy (Jason) Stacey of Boswell; and his sisters, Debbie Brant of Lafayette, Vickie (Larry Long) of Lafayette, and Trina (Scott) Stovall of Fort Wayne. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his daughter, Robin Wilson; his sister, Marsha Neal; his step dad, John Gushwa; and mother-in-law, Barbara Rainey.Visitation will be held on Friday, October 20, 2017 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Chapel. Services will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Fisher Funeral Chapel with interment following in Riverside Cemetery in Attica.Memorial donations may be made to help the family with expenses.
