William T. "Bill" Liverman, Jr., 91 woke up in the presence of the Lord on August, 28, 2020.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Shirley, daughters, Karen(Howard) Seitz and their son Cannon, Sheree (Aaron) Leatherman and their children William and Juliana, step-son, Rick Randolph and his daughter, Rebecca (Kevin) James and their children,Matt, Tate, Noah and Presley, sisters-and-brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
Bill began working for Southern Railway (now Norfolk Southern) as a typist intern while still in high school and worked his way into management until his retirement in 1987. After retiring, he helped coach and was present for every fast-pitch softball game Sheree played from childhood through her collegiate career. Bill and Shirley travelled extensively throughout their lives visiting Mexico, Canada, and the 48 contiguous United States. Bill had two great passions in life, his family and his zeal for the Indianapolis 500. He was present for 61 races and enjoyed spending the month of May in Indy until last year when his health would no longer allow it. Bill and Shirley are faithful members of Tyner United Methodist Church and love worshipping and fellowshipping with their church family.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the family has chosen to hold a memorial service at a later date. They would appreciate you sharing your memories of Bill on the Heritage Funeral Homes website.
Memorial contributions can be made to Tyner United Methodist Church or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
