Billie Jean GaroutteBillie Jean Garoutte, 87, a loving wife and mother, died on March 27, 2017, after a long life. She was born on January 6, 1930, to CW and Cleda (Burrow) Tarrant.Billie loved to send mail, letters and cards, with tons of stickers on the envelopes. She loved her garden, indoor flowers & plants, and spending time with her grandchildren.Billie was preceded in death by her husband Harold P. Garoutte, her parents, daughter Donna F. Garoutte and great-grandson Noah A. Williams.She is survived by her sister Martha (husband Bill) Sutherlin, brother Don (wife Carole) Tarrant, her remaining four children Paulletta Aldridge, David E. (wife Cindy), Paul A. (wife Bev) and Jeffery A. (wife Rebecca), 13 grandchildren (Liesl, Sam, Sky, Owen, Terra, Jonah, Jamin, Alicia, Alex, Rachel, Nate, Lauren, Aaron) and 7 great-grandchildren (Emma, Hannah, Brennan, Chandler, Micaela, Kennedy, Truman), and numerous nieces and nephews.She was member of Jefferson Avenue Baptist Church. She loved her KIT group at JABC and roommate (Shirley), lunch mates (Dixie, Helen, Susan) and the staff at Springfield Rehabilitation Health Care Center.A funeral service will be held from 11-12 PM on Friday, March 31, 2017, at the Greenlawn Funeral Home at 441 W. Battlefield, Springfield, MO 65807, with memorial celebration after the services at 12:30 PM at Jefferson Avenue Baptist Church, 316 E Sunshine, Springfield, MO.Memorial donations to Springfield Rehabilitation Health Care Center, 2800 South Fort, Springfield, MO 65807.
