We are saddened to announce the passing of Billy Sherman, who departed this world on July 14, 2025, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 69. Born on August 19, 1955, Billy was the beloved child of R.D. Sherman and Emma Mae Sherman.

Billy was a devoted parent to seven children: Billy Ray Washington, Shawna Washington-Porter, Cora Washington, Termite Washington, Tonya Washington, Val, and Fredrick Washington; one who will forever remain in our hearts. He was also a loving grandparent to 13 grandchildren.

Billy attended Kashmere High School, where he graduated in 1975. He later pursued a career as a welder and worked tirelessly until his retirement in 2018.

Known for his warm smile and infectious laughter, Billy will be remembered for his love of family, unwavering work ethic, and dedication to those he cared about. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will forever live on in our hearts.
