Billy K. ParryZANESVILLE: Billy K. Parry, 89, of Zanesville, passed away at 7:15 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2013 at Genesis Hospice & Palliative Care with his loving daughters by his side. He was born on March 30, 1923, in Zanesville, a son of the late Wilbert L. and Dorothy Frantz Parry. He attended the Chicago Technical College. He retired after 40 years of service as a construction superintendent for Paul Construction. He was a member of First Christian Church and he served our country and protected our freedom by serving in the United States Army Infantry Division where he was a decorated veteran who was wounded in France and was awarded the Purple Heart.Surviving are his wife, Erma I. White Parry of the home; two daughters, Linda C. (Eugene) Hartman and Diana L. (Gary) Grubb; four grandchildren, Chad and Michael Hartman, Kevin and Eric Grubb; and four great grandchildren, Dawson, Ashton, Caden, Payton and Zoey who is on the way.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Wilbert L. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 in the Snouffer Chapel with Rev. Dawn Remster officiating.
