On April 2nd, 2023, Bobby Jones, beloved resident of Macon, Georgia passed away at the age of 73. He was born on January 2nd, 1950 to his proud parents, Franklin and Mary Jones. Bobby was a hardworking, kind-hearted man loved by his family and friends.

Bobby graduated from Macon High School and attended Georgia State University, where he graduated with a degree in Business. He worked as an accountant for over 40 years at Jones Financial Group, owned by his father, before retiring in 2015. He was greatly respected by his colleagues and clients.

Bobby was passionate about sports and was an avid golfer. He was a member of the Macon Golf Club for over 30 years and even won a few tournaments. He also loved watching football, especially the Georgia Bulldogs, and could be found cheering them on every Saturday during football season.

Bobby was a devoted husband to his wife of 50 years, Sarah, and a proud father to his two children, Emily and Michael. He loved spending time with his family and going on annual trips to the beach. He was also an active member of his community and volunteered his time and resources to numerous charities.

Bobby will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife Phillis, his children Gwen and Laura, his grandchildren, and his siblings Charlie and Dorris.

A celebration of Bobby's life will be held on April 7th at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Bobby's memory to the American Cancer Society.
