Bobby Gene Christopher, 80, of Nederland, died Friday, October 14, 2016. He was born on January 26, 1936. Bobby is survived by his devoted wife of thirty-two years, Barbara Blanco-Christopher; younger brother, Verdell Christopher of Nacogdoches; loving children, Bobby O. Christopher of Bullard, Susan R. Stafford and Michael W. Christopher, both of Jacksonville, and Bobby J. Swain of Pineville, Louisiana; grandchildren, Lauren Christopher Wiggs, Dustin Christopher, Lavonda Smith, Jimmy Loven, Jr., and Courtney Hudson; and nine great-grandchildren all who he adored and cherished. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ora Ford and Vera Christopher; and brothers, Tommy Lee, Billy Wayne, and Alan Ike Christopher. A gathering of Mr. Christopher’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, October 16, 2016, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 17, 2016, at Triangle Baptist Church, 3605 Highway 69 North, Nederland, with interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
