LAKE KIOWA - Funeral Services for Bobby Joe Dickson, 73 of Lake Kiowa, Texas will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Whitesboro, Texas with Bro. Tony Norman officiating, assisted by Rev. Rick Carney, and Rodney & Jeff Dickson. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery of Collinsville.Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Meador Funeral Home Chapel. Bobby passed away Monday, January 30, 2017 at Texoma Medical Center, Denison, Texas with his family by his side.He was born on May 22, 1943 in Gober, Texas. He was raised by his parents, Lester and Della Bridges. He married Belveree Lea Voirin on June 8, 1963 in Irving, Texas. Bobby was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and loved his work. He retired after years of service as Co-Director of Wal-Mart. He enjoyed bird watching and his fur friends, Lil Ann, Lulu and Lucy. His family was his greatest joy and spent his life serving them. He adored his wife, sons, daughter-in-laws and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bobby enjoyed his bowl of Blue Bell ice cream and peach cobbler. He always had a smile on his face and was his happiest while eating his ice cream. Bobby was a big baseball fan and enjoyed spending time with his good friend, Don Wood.Pallbearers will be Michael Dickson, Todd Cavin, Phil Harris, Rusty Renfroe, Don Wood, Barry Beste and Randy Feazell.He is survived by his wife, Bev Dickson of Lake Kiowa; sons, Rodney Dickson and wife, Kim of McKinney and Jeff Dickson and wife, Kristie of Whitesboro; 6 grandchildren, Haleigh Dickson, Dustin Dickson, Kortni Dickson, Delani Dickson, Riley Dickson and Jamie Dickson; 2 great-grandchildren; Landrie and Kyson; 3 brothers, Merrell Dickson and wife, Martha, Steve Dickson and wife, Evelyn and Lynn Bridges and sister, Tammy Bridges.He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Della Bridges; daughter, Julie Dickson and brothers, Eldon Dickson and Buddy Dickson.To sign the online registry, please go to:
