Bobbye Farmer of Seal Beach, California passed away on March 25, 2023. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.
Bobbye was born on February 16th, 1946 in Memphis, Tennessee, the daughter of Bobby Farmer and Isabelle Roby. She spent much of her career in Waterloo IA, and spent the last years of her life in Southern California. Bobbye married J. Yonzl Davis in 2001, and he preceded her in death in 2014. Bobbye earned a Bachelors Degree of Arts in Sociology at California State University Long Beach. Bobbye had a career in education, at John Deere Tractor Works and in the T.V. and film industry.
Bobbye is survived by her son Reginald Smith her granddaughters, Quentilla Jones, Acacia Smith and Micaiah Adams, her great grandchildren Cayden Jones and Kamron Clear her sisters Patrica Sales, Myra Farmer, Barbara Bosley, and her brothers Andrew Farmer and James Walker, her niece's, nephews, and several beloved cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Yonzl Davis, her brother Floyd Farmer and her sister Mary D. Theroith.
Bobbye will be remembered for her contagious smile, her unwavering love and faith in God, her integrity, and her virtuous spirit.
A burial service for Bobbye will be held on Saturday April 29th 2023, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 4471 Lincoln Ave Cypress, CA 90630. Friends and family will gather to honor and remember her legacy, and celebrate her remarkable life.
