Bonnie Lou Hay Ross CarverBonnie Lou Hay Ross Carver, also known as "Grandmother," passed away peacefully on June 19, 2017 in Shreveport, LA at the age of 74.She is preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Evie Hay; sisters, Bobbie Cloteal Lawman and Doris Wyatt; first husband, Marion Stanley Ross, and her second husband, Herbert Leon Carver. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Evie Yvonnie Dirks and husband Billy, Connie Strange and husband Frank; sisters, Anna Jean Hall, Alta Hamilton, and Louise Bone and husband Joe; granddaughters, Brittney Trahan and husband Josh, Amanda Powell and husband Nathan; great-grandchildren, Garrett, Reid, and Meredith; and her special friend Joe Johnson. Bonnie was born on January 25, 1943 in Chestnut, LA. She graduated from Natchitoches High. Bonnie worked as an Avon representative and CNA. She was a dedicated member of Oakmont Church of God. She enjoyed hosting events, cooking, shopping, and designing flower arrangements. Bonnie was a generous individual who loved helping and giving to others. A funeral service for Bonnie will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel, with Bro. David Radford officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Park West Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service.
