Bonnie Sims, 97, of Concord, North Carolina, passed on March 06, 2021 at Tucker Hospice House of Kannapolis. Bonnie died with her 2 daugthers by her side. Crystal Sossoman of Mooresville and Corrella Cain of Concord.
Bonnie was born on August 05, 1923, China Grove, NC to Madie and Ray Fesperman. She was lifetime member of Mount Zion United Church of Church in China Grove, NC. Bonnie enjoyed teaching Sunday School for over 50 years. She was married at Mount Zion UCC on August 31, 1947 to William Lee Sims of Charleston, SC. The couple had 2 children: Crystal Sims Sossoman, Corrella Sims Cain and 4 grandchildren: Simon Sossoman and Ariel Moran, Sarah Moran, and Joshua William Moran. Her only sibling: Ray Fesperman of York SC ( deceased) was survived by his wife Millie Fesperman.
Bonnie Sims was a long time member of Cabarrus County Home Extension. She served her local home extension club: Boger Club for over 65 years. She worked with other local women in the community and local area. She was a loyal member and friend to all.
Bonnie Sims was a musician, she played piano her entire life by ear. She loved her music and entertained many groups, church members and family throughout her 97 years. She was a treasure to behold and know.
Bonnie loved her church family at Mount Zion United Church of Christ in China Grove, NC.and Her family at Morningside Assisted Living Center. She shared sparkle and smile with all she met, with never a sad word for anyone.

Bonnie will be laid to rest at West Lawn Cemetery in China Grove along side her husband, Bill Sims.in a private burial ceremony.
