BONNIE VANDEMARK

GOMER — Bonnie L. Vandemark, age 89, died at 8:10 pm, Friday, February 3, 2017, at Springview Manor, Lima, Ohio.

She was born on January 6, 1928, in Elida, Ohio to Robert and Margaret (Carder) John. They both preceded her in death. On February 20, 1948, she married A. Kenneth Vandemark, He preceded her in death on December 16, 1995.

Bonnie is survived by two sons: John (Deb) Vandemark of Cairo and Stan (Joanna) Vandemark of Elida; one daughter Dianne (Todd) Wilkin of Cairo; 11 grandchildren: Sandi (Jay) Heckman, Kris Vandemark, Mike (Missy) Vandemark, Keri (Bill) Luersman, Randy Vandemark, Audrie (Jacob) John, Lesley (Todd) Larson, Jennifer (Todd) Belden, Jason (Nicole) Wilkin, Jeff (Laura) Wilkin and Jacob (Danielle) Wilkin; 33 great grandchildren; one sister in-law: Ruth Moughton; and three brothers in-law: Carl (Sharon) Vandemark, Charles Irvin and Robert Makley.

She was preceded in death by two sons: Steven K. Vandemark and Jeffery L. Vandemark; one grandson: John J. Vandemark; two sisters: Norma Simerly and Mary Lee Makley and one brother: Bobby John.

Bonnie was a graduate of Elida High School. She was a homemaker. She looked forward to her family getting together on Saturday nights, for BBQ's and swimming at her pool. She also enjoyed camping with her family and friends and evenings out dancing.

Services will begin at 11:00 a.m, Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Pastor Kent Wilson will officiate, with burial to follow in Pike Run Cemetery, Gomer.

Friends may call from 2:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, February 6, 2017 and 10:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m., time of service, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Cairo Rescue Squad or donor's choice.

The family would like to express their deepest thank you to the staff of Springview Manor for the years of care they gave Bonnie.
