Boyd M. Hogue Boyd M. Hogue, 98, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Sterling Presbyterian Manor, Sterling, KS. He was born on August 19, 1918, to Harry and Eva Thompson Hogue. He graduated from Eskridge High School in 1936 and entered the US Army to serve during WWII. His time in the Army found him in Sicily, Rome, France and Central Europe. Boyd married Margery Jeanne Buchanan, December 27, 1941. She preceded him on death on December 25, 1989. Boyd was a home builder, land developer and realtor in Topeka and was owner of Boyd Hogue Construction and Real Estate. Boyd was a member of Central Presbyterian Church where he supervised renovations to the building in the 1960 s and headed up multiple Habitat for Humanity Homes. Boyd is survived by his 5 children and spouses: Kay and Robert Baker (Chesterfield, MO), Sue and Gary Winget (Larned, KS), Debi and Rod Livengood (Tacoma, WA), Craig and Tammy Hogue (Wichita, KS) and Marsha and Larry Smith (Sterling, KS), 14 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren, Bob Hogue (Topeka) brother and Bill Hogue (Topeka) nephew. His second wife, Goldie Gaskill preceded him in death. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 22 at Central Presbyterian Church, 920 SW Huntoon, Topeka, followed by a time to visit with Boyd s family and friends. A family burial will precede the service in Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorials are suggested for Central Presbyterian Church, Topeka or to the Boyd Hogue Memorial Fund, Sterling Presbyterian Manor, Sterling, KS. Boyd M. Hogue
