Mr. Bradley Wayne Raker, 82 of Winston Salem, NC passed away peacefully in his home on September 2, 2019.

Mr. Raker was born to parents Bradley and Ruth Raker on August 9, 1937.  Mr. Raker graduated from Hanes High School in 1958. He married Ms. Barbara Raker in 1972 and remained a devoted husband until her death in 2011.  Wayne and Barbara had one son, Joshua.  Mr. Raker was employed by Sara Lee Knitwear and retired in 2000 after 33 years of service. In his later years, Wayne enjoyed playing Santa Claus at Stratford Station Grill through the Christmas season.  He was also a devoted member of Burkhead United Methodist Church in Winston Salem. 

 Mr. Raker is survived by one son Joshua Raker (Kimberly) and three grandchildren, Kyra, Tyler and Kyla of Winston Salem; brother Maurice Raker (Elinor) of Wilmington, NC;  brother Barry Raker (Linda) of Elon, NC; sister-in-law Brenda Raker Gentry of Winston Salem, NC and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. 

 He is preceded in death by his wife Barbara Raker and brother Jerry Raker.

Family will receive visitors at 1PM on 9/14/19 at Burkhead United Methodist Church located at 5250 Silas Creek Parkway in Winston Salem with memorial service immediately following at 2PM.
