Brandy Walker Newcomb Scholl, 43, of DeMotte, passed away on November 12, 2016. She was born on Jan. 11, 1973, in Germany to Linda and Shawn Newcomb. Brandy was an avid reader, loved to lift people up and make them smile, loved to leave little notes all around the house for her kids, loved Hello Kitty and was a proud breast cancer survivor. She was preceded in death by her father; Shawn Newcomb, brother; Shawn Newcomb Jr. She is survived by loving mother, Linda (Bruce) Walker of DeMotte; children, Brittnie K Marie Howard of DeMotte, Brooke Shawntel Nicole Howard of DeMotte, and Shawn Michael Scott Scholl of DeMotte; brothers, Randall (Laura) Newcomb of Rensselaer, John (Tina) Walker of DeMotte, and Jason (Maegan) Walker of Cedar Lake, as well as one loving grandchild, and many loving nieces and nephews. A visitation for Brandy will be held on Friday, Nov. 18, from 4-8 p.m. at the Frazier Funeral Home, 621 S. Halleck Street, DeMotte. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 19, at 1 p.m. at the Frazier Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Remsey officiating. Burial will follow in the DeMotte Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
