Brenda Betancourt Sandoval Brenda "Brendita" Betancourt Sandoval, 39, a beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister, and teacher of El Paso, Texas passed away suddenly on September 1, 2017. Brenda was born on October 16, 1977 to Rogelio and Maria Betancourt. She is preceded in death by her beloved brother Roy Betancourt and her grandmother Longina Hernandez. Brenda is survived by her parents Rogelio and Maria Betancourt, her husband Esteban Sandoval, daughter Jacqueline Sandoval, sisters Toni Betancourt Hernandez (Frank), Lettie Betancourt, nieces Nicole Marie Hernandez, Toni Camacho, and nephew Brandon Beltran. Brenda graduated from Bel Air High School in 1996 where she was a cheerleader for four years and was a part of the Homecoming Court her senior year. She earned her teaching degree from UTEP and went on to become an elementary school teacher at Sageland Elementary School where she worked for 12 years as both a first and second grade teacher. She was deeply loved and admired by her administration, coworkers and students. Brenda was the light of our lives and a ray of sunshine to many. She loved her parents and family immensely. She loved to dance and sing .The kindness in her heart and her love of life allowed her to touch and influence many people's lives. She was truly special in so many ways, not just for our family but also for her students, friends, and coworkers, whom she dearly loved and cared for. She will be truly missed and never forgotten. We love you with all of our hearts and we know you will continue to watch over us in heaven. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 5, 2017. Funeral mass will be on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 10:00 am at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Interment to follow to Mount Carmel Cemetery. Pallbearers to be Esteban Sandoval, Rogelio Betancourt, Brandon Beltran, Charlie Wilcox, Frank Hernandez, Porfirio Sandoval.
