LIGONIER — Brent Atz, 51, of Ligonier, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born on November 30, 1962, in LaGrange, Indiana, to Richard and Cecile (Huff) Atz Brent is survived by his three children, Brice (Stacy) Atz of Ligonier, Indiana, Brittany (Tommy) Isaac of Kimmell, Indiana, and Bradley Atz of Ligonier, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Dylan, Taylor, Trent, Kylie, Nick, Blake and Khloe. Also surviving are seven siblings, Tom (Gale) Atz of Ligonier, Craig (Lorna) Atz of Ligonier, Tim (Roxie) Atz of Ligonier, Carla (Barry) Lucas of Ligonier, Cheryl Atz of Ligonier, Steve (Michelle) Atz of Auburn and Carol (Carson) Slone of Ligonier. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Quentin Atz. He graduated from West Noble High School. He was a very hard worker who loved to work with his hands. He loved his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren. He coached baseball in Ligonier and loved to watch it. He enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors. A time of visitation will be Saturday, October 25, 2014, from 2-4:30 p.m. at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier. A graveside service will be at 5 p.m. Saturday at Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier. Memorial contributions may be given to the family in care of Yeager Funeral Home.
