Brent M BarfussMay 24, 1966 - May 8, 2016Brent M Barfuss, 49, of Pocatello, ID passed away May 8th, 2016 at Portneuf Medical Center, in the loving arms of his oldest daughter. He was a loving son, brother, father and friend. Brent was born on May 24th, 1966, on his mother's birthday, in Downey, ID to Delmer and Clea Mae Barfuss. He grew up in Downey, ID and attended schools in Downey and Marsh Valley. He is the 11th of 12 siblings.On August 24th, 1991 he married Christine Marrie Jones and together they created a beautiful baby girl, Candace ChayAnne Barfuss, who was the highlight of their lives. Brent also embraced his relationship with Nate Richardson and loved him as one of his own. Christine and Brent later divorced but they remained lifelong friends.On July 6, 2003 Brent and Robin Cook were blessed with a beautiful daughter, Aspen Grace Barfuss, who added even more sunshine to his life. Brent made his home in Pocatello, ID where he filled his time helping people as a handyman and mechanic. He enjoyed being surrounded by his many friends, playing billiards and darts, historic documentaries, anything to do with cars, fixing things even if they weren't broken, and he loved boasting to anybody about how amazing his daughters are. He cared deeply for the people in his life.He is survived by his mother, two daughters, 8 brothers and 3 sisters, and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his father, Delmer Barfuss, and his grandparents Eli and Vinnie Barnes, and John and May Barfuss.Funeral Services will be held at 11am, Saturday May 14th, at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W Chubbuck Rd, Pocatello, ID 83202. The family will visit with friends from 9:30-10:45am prior to the funeral services. Graveside services will be held at the Downey Cemetery in Downey, ID. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Horsley's Marsh Valley Funeral Home.
