It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brian Tarr, who was born on May 18, 1964, and peacefully left this world on January 25, 2025, with his family by his side
Brian was the beloved son of Dan Tarr and Olive White Tarr. He was also a loving husband to Vici Tarr, whom he married in 2010. When they married they joined together two families with five wonderful children, Dalton Tarr and Ryann, Stormy Tarr, Aaron and Annie Shaffer, children: Graeme Shaffer and Beau Shaffer. Amanda Shaffer, children: Hayden Borgman and Laina Ritchie , Kylea and Trae Swanson, Alexis Knisely and Jaiden Mason and Ethan Knisely. Adam Lopez. Brian was a proud great grandfather to Hudson and Hadlee Swanson and Ivory Mason.
Brian left behind a large family including 4 brothers: Dale and Karen Tarr, of Wichita Falls, TX children: Jason, Zach, Sarah, Justin, and Chad. Danny and Sheri Tarr of Bangor, ME, children: Shannon, Kristen, Daniel, Savannah and Cameron. David and Mary White of Stockholm, ME , children: Ben, Hannah, Megan, and Breanne. Galen and Susan White of Houlton, ME, children: Shannon, Jessica and Derrick.
Brian was raised in Dexter, Maine. He was the youngest of 5 boys to Olive Dorris White Tarr. Him and his brothers enjoyed riding snowmobiles, playing hockey and getting into any kind of trouble his brothers could get him into. They then moved more north where he attended Houlton High School. He worked at potato farms in the area to help support his family. In 1982, the option came up to move to Wichita Falls, TX. He let most of the family make the trip in the U-haul, While he decided to hitchhike. He lived out most of his 20's and 30's enjoying old cars, hanging out with his friends and riding numerous different Harley's. In 2008, he met his soon to be wife Vici Pearlene Tarr, Whom he married March 15th of 2010. Brian and Vici lived in Iowa Park, TX at the "old rock house on the hill" where he resided for 17 years. Brian spent his life enjoying his favorite hobbies of riding motorcycles, being outside and hanging out by the pool. Everyone that knew Brian thought of him highly, he was a dear friend to many, and created many laughs along the way
His family and friends will always remember him for his kind heart, infectious smile, and adventurous spirit. Brian will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Brian was one of the favorite cousins always glad to see ya. Brian got me my first tattoo 38yrs ago. We lived miles apart but he will ever be in my heart. Prayers being said for the family. Your cousin Dale & Tina White

Brian is my nephew and always will be I remember him as a baby being born in Massachusetts and his grandmother going there to help his mom with her other four sons while she had Brian,who would think that going to have your 5th son was so you could rest from daily duties,to me you were the best looking of the 5 sons love you.Go rest high on that mountain your work on earth is done. I'm sorry to hear of Brian's passing. My husband & I enjoyed spending time with him on many occasions. He was always making us laugh. I lost Scott on Christmas Eve. I can see the two of them laughing together now. My prayers are with all who love him. Peace to all.
