It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brian, who passed peacefully after 81 years in the Royal Blackburn Hospital. He leaves behind his loving wife, Sheila of 56 years; four children: Andrew, Stephen, Paul, and Julie; seven grandchildren: Phil, Megan, Danny, Louise, Robert, Simon and Hannah; seven great-grandchildren; and three siblings. 

Born in Blackburn, Brian grew up surrounded by a big family (just the 6 siblings!!) and spent most of his time working on the family farm. Later in life, he was the only one of his family to do National Service and then worked in differing mills around Blackburn, Mellor, and Padiham. 

He was a committed and loving husband who spent his retirement traveling around the UK with Sheila, attending all the engine rallies, where he showed off his collection of engines and spend time with his friends.
