Brian TaylorCliveBrian Taylor, of Clive, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2016, at the age of 64.Brian was born on March 4, 1952, in Marshalltown, Iowa, to Robert and Nelda (Healy) Taylor. He was nationally recognized for his talent in airbrush artistry. He founded Taylor Corporation and Images West, which produced illustrations and advertising for Meredith Corporation, John Deere, Putco, DeeZee, and Inland Coatings, among others. His love of Corvettes and racing lasted throughout his life, and led to a partnership in Can-Am racing, establishing his own racing wheel company, building his own Corvette race car, and creating the advertising for the Des Moines Grand Prix and National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum in Knoxville. Brian is survived by his longtime companion Joan Wolfe; daughter Elise Jessen (Adam); brothers Gary (Teresa) and David (Tamra); four nieces; and favorite cat Emma. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Nelda Taylor. At Brian's request, no formal funeral services were held. A celebration of life gathering was held Saturday, December 3, 2016.
