Brian Tucker, 52, of Cocoa, Florida, passed on February 20, 2022. Brian was born on March 24, 1969.
Brian is survived by his only son, Tyler. He spent the last 2 years of his life battling kidney failure which eventually led to his passing late Sunday evening. His doctors were always so shocked at how well he had been doing for so long.
He lived his life never letting things stagnate and approached everything with an eagerness to learn. He instilled that passion in his son along with many others. In his last days, Brian spent time remembering a road trip that he and Tyler took in December of 2019 to Miami to watch the Dolphins play. Despite driving 24 hours in three days during a massive rainstorm, he said it was a dream come true and he wouldn't trade it for anything.
Though they might not have always seen eye to eye on everything, they were all the family they had in this world. Brian raised his son alone from the age of 9 through college. It was always a struggle but he never stopped giving it his all. From driving lessons to help with homework he never let his frustrations show, but instead always remained patient and supportive of his struggling son.
Brian attended Cocoa Beach High School as part of the graduating class of 1987. His time spent there was full of football, cruising to the beach with his buddies and cracking jokes. He often told stories of a hurricane flooding his neighborhood and he and his friends riding their bikes through the waist high water and getting yelled at by their parents that they were going to be eaten by gators. This didn't phase him at all because Brian was fearless and approached everything with a smile on his face.
Brian left his home town right after high school to join the United Stated Marine Corps where he served in Desert storm as a tank driver and gunner. After his time in the marines he met his wife and future mother of his son, Jennie in 1991. They were married for 12 years before she passed from brain cancer. Moving forward as a single father after the loss of his certainly took a toll on him has he would layer be diagnosed with chronic anxiety and depression. He never let these things keep him from getting up day after day to take care of his son.
I never got the chance to know my grandparents or any of my dad's home town friends which is why I'm taking this obituary out here in Cocoa. If you have any stories or pictures of my dad it would mean the world to me of you could email me with them. After my mom passed my dad wasn't much for taking pictures or holding onto keepsakes and memories so I don't even have any photos of him to use here for this. I will leave my email and a phone number where you can leave voice messages if you have any fun stories to tell.
Thank you all for taking the time to remember my father with me. I will truly miss him with my while heart.
I love you dad and im glad you can finally rest. I hope you're watching down on me with mom and Nana and Papa and I hope I make you all proud after to gave me such a wonderful life.
