Bruce Allen Johnson, beloved father, grandfather, and dedicated mechanic, passed away on November 16, 2024, in Beaumont, Texas he was born on January 11, 1957 in Opelousas, Louisiana to the late Ogie Mae Johnson, and Gary Cooper.

Bruce leaves behind five children in union with Clara Simon who will miss him dearly: Ebony Shenique Simon-Johnson, Christina Sloan Simon-Johnson, Marcus Simon-Johnson, Ogie Mae Johnson-Collier-(Todd Collier Sr.), and Damon Wallace Simon-Johnson.

He was a loving and devoted grandfather to five grandchildren: Christon Green, T’onna Collier, Todd Collier Jr., Torrence Collier and Ava Banks, who brought him much joy and happiness.

Bruce was the oldest of his siblings who he loved and cherished Barbara Cooper-Burton, Mary Cooper-Fruge and is proceeded in death by Calvin Lee Cooper Sr. his beloved brother. 

Bruce attended Forest Park High School in Beaumont,Texas.

Bruce was a hardworking individual who had a passion for fixing cars. He spent many years working as a mechanic, using his skills and knowledge to help others in need.

His dedication to his craft was unmatched, and he was known for his attention to detail and commitment to excellence.

Bruce will be remembered for his kind heart, warm smile, and unwavering love for his family. He touched the lives of many people with his generosity and kindness.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he loved and who loved him in return.
