Dr. Buenaventura G. ManabatAGE: 82 • LakewoodBen died on Monday, June 12, 2017 following a courageous and tough battle with brain cancer. He was born on July 14, 1934 in the Philippines. Ben is survived by his wife Dr. Arle Manabat of 55 years, stepmom Socorro Flores, sister Aida De Sagun, son Robert Manabat, son John (Linda) Manabat, daughter Giselle (Regan) Rosenfeld, and 7 grandchildren, Nicole, Alec, Kyle, Zachary, Matthew, Dylan and Amanda. Ben was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all. Ben achieved his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Santo Tomas. He was a compassionate healer and accomplished surgeon for over 50 years. After he retired, he spent most of his days playing golf, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. Family and friends may visit the DiCostanzo family owned, Lakewood Funeral Home, 6250 Highway 9, Howell on Thursday, June 15 from 6-9 PM. A mass will be held on Friday, June 16 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary of the Lake Church in Lakewood, NJ.
