C. J. "Buddy" Taylor, 86, Bardstown, passed away Friday, Dec. 2, 2016 at Baptist Health Lexington. He was born on July 9, 1930 in Louisville. He moved to Loretto in 1937 and graduated from Saint Francis High School in 1949. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict. He retired from General Electric in Louisville after 25 years of service and he loved farming. He attended Holy Trinity Catholic Church where he served as a Eucharistic minister and choir member. He was preceded in death by: his parents, William Leslie and Mary Sallie Mattingly Taylor; and one sister, Lucille Mattingly. Survivors include: his wife of 62 years, Mary L. "Susie" Masterson Taylor; five daughters, Kathy Clements (Bill), Linda Sweeney and Betty Rogers (Jim Pat) all of Bardstown, Mary Ann Bowling (David) of Versailles and Janice Sinclair (Mark) of Georgetown; two sons, Dr. Joseph P. Taylor (Rose Marie) of Bardstown and Terry Taylor (Donna) of Springfield; 24 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Celestinita Hardesty of Raywick.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Springfield, with burial in the church cemetery where military rites will be conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard. Rev. Matthew T. Hardesty will officiate. Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, and 9-10:15 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, at Barlow Funeral Home, 2675 East John Rowan Blvd, Bardstown, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.Memorials may go to , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Masses.Pallbearers are Micah Taylor, Drew Clements, Craig Sweeney, Nicholas Bowling, Patrick Rogers, Jason Sinclair, and C.J.
