C. S. Sartor, Jr.C. S. Sartor, Jr., 77 of Ida, LA passed away on February 14, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Ida Baptist Church in Ida, LA, officiated by Rev. Bill Treadway and assisted by Rev. Brian Hevren. Burial will follow at Bethsaida Cemetery in Ida, LA. There will be a time of visitation from 6-8 pm on Friday, February 17th at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home in Vivian, LA.C. S. Sartor was born on April 4, 1939 in Capp City, Texas to Clois and Odile Sartor. He lived in Ida since 1970 and was a member of Ida Baptist Church. He was very involved in his community and helped build the town gazebo. He was a 33rd degree Mason and served as secretary at Masonic Lodge 324 in Ida, LA for many years. He was also a member of El Karubah Shrine. He was an aviation enthusiast and loved flying his planes. Mr. Sartor was very benevolent and always helped others in need. He enjoyed 56 years of marriage to his wife Linda, and was always a great southern gentleman. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Anne White. He is survived by his wife Linda Sartor, his son Mark Sartor and wife Faye of Collierville, TN, his daughter Melinda Lane and husband Andy of Keithville, LA, and daughter Brenda Andrew and husband Glen of Peachtree City, GA. He is also survived by his sisters Leah Farr of Baton Rouge, LA and Judy Lerner and husband Jim of Sacramento, CA, his brother Jon Lane Sartor and wife Marilyn of Oil City, LA. The love of his life were his grandchildren, Ethan Sartor, Louis Sartor, Daniel Sartor, Hannah Lane Nicholls and husband Luke, Leah Lane Waltz and husband John, Drew Lane, Rachel Lane, Carson Andrew and Chapman Andrew. Pallbearers will be his grandsons. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ronald McDonald House in Cincinnati, OH or Shriners Hospital in Shreveport, LA.
