It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Caden Perez, who left us far too soon on June 3, 2024, at the ripe age of 16. Born on May 22, 2008, Caden brought joy, laughter, and an undeniable light into the lives of all who knew him.
Caden was a vibrant and spirited young man who embraced his true self with courage and authenticity. His infectious smile and queer heart endeared him to friends and family alike. An avid lover of pickleball Caden found solace and expression through his paddle, often filling the house with melodies of balls that will be deeply missed. He was also a passionate advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, standing up for acceptance and equality with a maturity beyond his years.
A junior at Rancho High School, Caden excelled academically and was known for his curiosity and creativity. He was a cherished member of the school's GSA (Gender and Sexuality Alliance), where he found a supportive community and formed lasting friendships. Caden's empathy and understanding made him a confidant to many, always ready to lend a queer ear and a helping hand.
Caden's legacy of love, kindness, and fierce queerness will continue to inspire all who knew him. May he rest in peace, and may his memory be a blessing.
