Calvin E. Lombard RACINE- Calvin Eugene Lombard, 82, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Manor Care in Kenosha. He was born on September 4, 1930 at his home on the family farm in Westby. Calvin was the seventh child of Emmett and Charity (nee: Stinson) Lombard. Calvin enlisted in United States Air Force in 1950 and served in the military until 1955, working in a hospital. After marrying Yvonne (nee: Rene) Lombard on June 16, 1956 at Whitehall Baptist Church, they moved to Racine where Calvin worked at Belle City Foundry and Jacobson Manufacturing, retiring in 1993. Calvin was a member of Grace Church for 57 years. Calvin is survived by his faithful wife of 56 years, Yvonne; their children Dawn (Michael) Swaney of Racine, Brian (Kathe) Lombard of Saginaw, Michigan; grandchildren, Matthew and Jeremiah; great-grandchildren, Jayde, Thomas and Ava; brother, Richard (Thora) Lombard of Rushford, Minnesota; and sisters Ruth (Willard) Greene of Hager City and Dorothy (Don) Chambers of Janesville. Calvin was preceded in death by his parents and many of his siblings: Merritt Lombard, Gladys Lombard, Chuck Lombard, Esther Lombard, Mildred Greenland, Dorian Lombard, and Francis Lombard. Funeral services for Calvin will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Sturino Funeral Home. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. The family would like to thank the staffs of Manor Care and Hospice Advantage for the loving attention and medical care they extended to Calvin.
