Calvin Gipson, 68, of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed on July 21, 2021. Calvin was born on February 23, 1953 to Grace and Otis Gipson in Brookylnn, New York. He relocated to Bossier City, Louisiana in 1972, where he met and married his belated wife Shelly Kelly. While in Louisiana , Calvin worked multiple jobs such as a Central Service Technician at LSU Hospital and as an Guard Transpoter of Money before entering into the Educational System as a Security Coordinator at Pierre Ave. Elementary School and Cherokee Park Schoolfor over 20 years, until he retired in 2018. Calvin was noted to be an avid JETS fan. He had a very unique sense of humor where he liked to tell jokes, and always be the life of the party, keeping people happy. After talking with you, he always had a saying, "See you on the other side!" and never wanted to say the words "goof-bye." 

Calvin was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Calvin departed this life at his sister's home , in his sleep on Wednesday , July 21, 202. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Grace and Otis Gipson and brother-in-law Virgil Carroll. He leaves to Mourn: his sister Wisle Bennetta Lee Gipson, brother Norman Gipson, Daughters Danyelle Ratcliff, Teresa Kelly a host of grandkids, great grandkids, neices and nephews.
