Calvin L. Bump Jr., 76, of Shawano, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at his home. He was born on April 4, 1940, in Milwaukee the son of the late Calvin L. and Mildred M. (Russell) Bump, Sr. He retired from the United States Navy after 21 years as a Chief Petty Officer and Machinists Mate. He is survived by his beloved wife, Patsy E. (Carpenter) Bump; loving children, Debra (Doug) Armand, Sandy Kimpton, Tim Bump, John (Kelly) Bump, Ron (Lois) Morgan and Sandy (Deborah) Morgan. Cherished grandfather of 20 grandchildren including two granddaughters he and Patsy raised, Melissa (Isaiah) Carter and Alisha (Mike) Mattheis; and great-grandfather of 27. Further survived by one brother, James "Jim" Bump, Sr. as well numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Mary Ellen Bump, Margaret Westerfield and Pearl "Polly" Moulton; one brother, Lyle Bump; and one grandson, Benjamin Bump. Military honors will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2017, in the parking lot at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano. Military honors will be performed by the Shawano American Legion Post #117.
