Calvin Robinson, Jr., 68, of Copperas Cove, Texas, passed Saturday, May 16, 2020 following a long period of declining health. Calvin was the oldest son born to Calvin Robinson, Sr., and Emma Lee (Smith) Robinson on October 11, 1951 in Selma, Alabama. 

Calvin graduated from Orrville High School in 1971 where he played basketball and football. He also played on several baseball teams in Orrville and Wooster. Calvin enjoyed all types of sports especially basketball, football and baseball. He loved attending Copperas Cove Bulldog football games as well as watching both Baylor and Ohio State games.

Calvin earned degrees in Culinray Arts and Criminal Justice from the Central Texas College. He would proudly display his cooking and baking skills to show off his new talent.

Calvin served his country and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and the United States Army retiring after a combined 20 years of service. Prior to becoming ill, he was employed by the Texas Department of Corrections and later retired from the Gatesville Prison. 

Calvin is survived by his 10 children: Shirley Sue Robinson, Carla DeHart, Calvin M. Robinson, Sherry (Robinson) Patton, Jennifer Robinson, Imarie Robinson, Dominic Robinson, Jerome Robinson, Lashawn Ray, and Tre Jaron DeHart-Robinson (Sara Abraham).

He leaves to cherish his memory five siblings: Shirley Robinson-Martin (Kevin),  Allen Robinson Sr. (Kalynn), Roy Robinson, Rickey Robinson and Stacy Robinson along with his uncle James Robinson, Sr. and a long list of other relatives and friends.
