Cameron Scott SasserMemphis, TNCameron Scott Sasser, 54, passed away Monday, October 9, 2017 in his home. He was born on July 26, 1963 in Seattle, Washington to Davis and Carolyn Ann (Strahan) Sasser.He traveled the world for 28 years as a flight attendant based in New York and Memphis with Northwest Airlines, then based in Atlanta with Delta Airlines. Prior to joining Northwest, he was honorably discharged after serving as a proud SeeBees equipment operator in the
United States Navy.Cameron is survived by his husband of 25 years, David Maddox, his mother, Carolyn Dougherty, brothers Steve (Nancy) Sasser and David Sasser, fourteen nieces and nephews: Serina Raven Caruso, Krystal Raven DeLeonard, Timothy (Danielle) Fida, Cameron Sasser, Steven (Tiffany) Sasser, Sarah (Byron) Gutierrez, Ruth (Chase) Dukes, Rachel (Adam) Quick, Rebekah Sneed, Matthew, Elizabeth, Joshua, Nathan and Esther Sasser, and his beloved boxers, Georgia and Hattie. He was preceded in death by his father and sister, Vicki Raven.A brief memorial service will be held at Signature Executive Terminal on Cargo Road at Memphis International Airport, Saturday, October 28, at 3 p.m. A pot-luck celebration of his life well-lived will take place at his home afterward.
