Candice Nichole Anthony, 35, of Nacogdoches, Texas passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2016 in Nacogdoches. She was born on April 9, 1981 in Nacogdoches, Texas, the daughter of Mr. Danny Wayne Reneau and Mrs. Kimberly Jo Rogers Reneau. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Grace Bible Church with Bro. Dewayne Sims, Bro. Michael Self, and Bro. John Spurgeon officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Candice grew up in the Appleby and Central Heights areas, she attended and graduated from Central Heights High School in 2000, while in school she was a cheerleader for six years and was very involved in FFA showing animals and was in the chapter conducting and poultry judging competitions. She then received her LVN from Angelina College. She met who would become the love of her life, Robby Anthony, through their mutual friend Jade Lampin Williams. They were married on September 16, 2006, a marriage that lasted 10 wonderful years. Though they never had any children of their own, they loved and were very close to all their nieces and nephews and to Presley Cortines, Kinley, Cutter, and Sawyer Brown. She also had and loved their two Yorkies, Coco, and Minnie. Candice enjoyed antique shopping. Her favorite place to shop was the Canton Trade days, where she found many treasures. She also enjoyed traveling and cruises to different places. Some of the places they were able to visit were The Bahamas, Cozumel, New Orleans Washington D.C., Tennessee, Las Vegas and Hot Springs, Arkansas. In her free time, she loved watching Hallmark movies, Friends and The Golden Girls. Being a nurse was her true passion; she was very good at what she did mostly because she truly enjoyed caring for others. She loved her job at Little Jacks Pediatrics for the reason of being able to spend time with children, she mainly loved holding everybody's babies. Most of all she liked spending time with her family; holidays were her favorite, for they brought the whole family together, her favorite time of the year was Thanksgiving and Christmas. She could always be found in the kitchen cooking, and baking and trying new recipes. Her mother in law's chocolate pie recipe was Robby's favorite dessert, and Candice made sure she still made it the same way for him to enjoy. Candice's nickname from her Mamaw and Papaw was Candy Cole, and they were the only ones allowed to call her that. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Nacogdoches. She was part of the Ladies' bible study group, helped with Missionary work, and would also help with other church activities.
